New Update on Tuesday afternoon
19 08 2008I’m sorry for a bit of a rant on the last post, it’s just so overwhelming.
Teresa’s body is still fighting the infection. They tried to see if she could breath on her own and she wasn’t ready yet. They will evaluate each day to see if they can remove the ventilator. They think there is a chance she might beat this infection, it just takes time for the antibiotics to work.
If thinks get worse the ventilator will be removed while she is still consciouses and we can talk to her, she would be made comfortable and it would take a matter of a few precious hours.
The radiation oncologist said that after the ventilator is off he wants to do radiation a couple of times on a tumor that might cause some complications. No big efforts to try and destroy the cancer tumors.

As always, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please do not be hard on yourself, as you have put in a superhuman effort over the last year. Your love for Teresa and your family have been an inspiration to us all. Teresa loves you so much, and she has been so fortunate to have you by her side.
God is walking the path with both of you, and will be the rest of your lives. I pray His guidance will offer all of you comfort.

Honey my heart is breaking for you, and you know that I sincerely mean that. Please don’t worry about any details right now. Everything will work itself out. I want to reassure you that your not in this alone. We all know what your going through and how hard this is for you. Maybe this is the moment that we have all dreaded or maybe it’s not. By God’s grace it wouldn’t be the first time that Teresa has amazed us all. But it is in God’s hands and there is nothing that any of us can do about that. I know that you have a huge responsibility and that it must feel like the whole world is crashing in on you. I am struggling here to find any words that I could say to you to help you deal with this, but in all reality there isn’t any. Just please don’t blame yourself. I know what a great husband and father that you are and have been. I know what you’ve been through and how exhausted you must be. It’s OK!. God knows too, I just want to remind you that God has been with us every step of the way. God is there for you and Teresa right now. It will help to remember that you have to put your faith in whatever it is that God’s will is every moment. Just as you and Teresa have been doing all along. Turn it all over to God, and He will guide you through this. That is what Teresa would tell you to do too. Am I right? Believe! You know He never forsakes us or leaves us to deal with these things by ourselves. I love you Dan. Thank you for being there for my sister. I think you have done a great job, please don’t feel as though you haven’t. I know the truth, just as everyone who knows you knows. That is all that’s important. Anita and I will be there as soon as we can get a flight out. I know that God is going to get us all through this. I will be praying… Hugs and Kisses to everyone until I can give them myself! Pam.
